On Wednesday 20th August, we packed up our kit and returned to what now feels like a second home – Joules Brewery in Market Drayton. Arriving at 2pm, our first task was to photograph their latest investment: wine! Joules has recently purchased Château Bessan in Bordeaux and will soon be offering wine across all of their tap houses. We were thrilled to capture one of the very first bottles, with the images swiftly sent to the local press ahead of a 5pm announcement.

That announcement coincided with the unveiling of their brand-new flagship site, The Red Lion, located at the brewery itself. The Red Lion has undergone a major transformation, including a new wine bar, a relocated kitchen, and a complete bar rebuild. We photographed the entire site, updating visuals for their media and websites, before preparing for a private launch event for local suppliers, loyal customers, and the brewery team. What followed was a warm, lively evening (fueled by sausage rolls and plenty of Green Monkey!) that felt like a true celebration.

We even braved flying our drone through the new interiors and captured aerial shots outside with the DJI Mini 3 Pro—nerve-wracking but worth it. We wrapped up at 9pm, leaving behind a buzzing atmosphere of laughter, drinks, and a brilliantly executed launch.
The very next day at 5pm, we were back again—this time for the official public opening. It was a joy to capture the excitement of customers returning to their pub after months away. Across both days, we delivered around 500 images, a complete internal drone fly-through, and external aerial photography to showcase the development.
All in all, an incredible project to be part of. Huge congratulations to the entire Joules team on such a successful launch—we can’t wait to raise a glass of Château Bessan with you soon.
