28th August: Pop-Up Studio Product Photography & Videography – London Content Day

On 28th August, Adelina and I loaded up our trusty estate car (hands down the best thing I’ve ever invested in) and set off to Mitcham, London, for our monthly Kings Gym content day.
This time, though, we had more than just our usual kit—we packed professional photography lights, stands, and a brand-new white backdrop we’d picked up from WEX the day before. Why? Because for the first time, we were trialing merchandise and product photography services at no extra cost.

We know that studio photography sessions can quickly become expensive, often to the point where the costs outweigh the benefits. But when the aim is simply to sell products online, brands don’t always want to pour huge budgets into imagery. That’s where we step in—offering affordable product photography and creative video content at a fraction of the cost.

We arrived at Kings Gym around 9:30am (after a 3-hour drive and a quick power nap for me!) and got straight to setting up our pop-up photography studio. We found the perfect spot in the functional training area—tucked out of the way of members but with enough space for our equipment and models.
Once everything was ready, we met our models for the day—Lily, Maisie, Eren, and Dan—who were all fantastic to work with. For our first attempt at setting up a mobile studio on-site, the shoot couldn’t have gone better. We still have plenty to learn about studio lighting techniques and photography setup, but overall the results came out just as we hoped. Within 48 hours, the Kings team had the final high-resolution images in their inbox, ready to upload to their website. That’s the kind of fast content turnaround we’re known for.

While I shifted to filming professional video content with Dan and Sasha (the new Sports Rehab specialist), Adelina captured lifestyle photography around the gym—snapping dynamic shots of members mid-workout. By the end of the day, we’d delivered a full mix of commercial video production and fitness photography services—a long day, but a highly productive one.
At the heart of it all, our approach remains simple: everything we do is customer-focused. Whether it’s corporate video production, brand photography, or product and merchandise shoots, our mission is to support our clients with professional, high-quality content that helps them grow—without breaking the bank.
