19th October – Tom Meehan Fitness
On 19th October, we had the chance to spend the day at Tom Meehan Fitness , capturing the intensity and energy of their Hyrox classes. We met the team and got set up, ready to document every moment of the action. The Hyrox session was high-octane and full of movement, with athletes pushing themselves to their limits—perfect material for both photos and video. After the class, Tom and Hannah led a 45-minute seminar covering the Birmingham Hyrox do’s and don’ts. It was packed w

10th October – Capturing the Fox Inn, Oswestry
After finishing the leadership course, it was straight back into work as we headed to Oswestry to photograph the Fox Inn Joules pub, right in the heart of town. This 15th-century pub is looking for a new landlord, and our task was simple but important: capture the venue before opening hours and get the images to Joules as quickly as possible so they could start generating interest. We arrived at 10am and immediately got to work. Adelina took charge of the camera while I hand

7th October - Introverted Leadership Course Shoot
Adelina and I recently had the incredible experience of attending the Smart Culture Introverted Leadership Course at the historic Weston Park Hall in Shropshire. Over 48 hours, we immersed ourselves in the world of introverted leadership, exploring personality types, leadership styles, and how introverts can find and amplify their voices in the workplace. Drone Shot of Weston Park in Shropshire The course brought together 12 introverted leaders, each with their own unique exp

3rd October — Backyard Ultra Marathon, Brentwood, Essex
Despite not getting home until 10pm the night before, the 3rd of October was my Backyard Ultra Marathon race. At 4am, Adelina and I jumped in the car and headed to my dad’s, where he took over the driving for the 3.5-hour journey to Brentwood, Essex . For those unfamiliar, a Backyard Ultra is a grueling endurance race: you run 6.7km every hour, on the hour , and the race only ends when one runner remains. It’s a “last person standing” challenge — not something you attempt

2nd October — Joules Brewery Awards Night Photography
It wasn’t long before we returned to Joules Brewery , this time for the annual Joules Brewery Awards Night on 2nd October. This special evening brought together Joules landlords from across the Midlands and Shropshire to celebrate the incredible achievements of the brand over the past year. For us, it was a particularly meaningful night — marking over a year of collaboration with Joules , from August 2024 to the present. It was a genuine pleasure to see so many familiar fac

26th September: A Joules buffet!
Whilst we were still in London working with Kings Gym , we got an unexpected but exciting message from Joules Brewery . They needed an urgent photography session the very next day at their main brewery — capturing a mix of team headshots , venue imagery , and food photography for their newly completed Stag Events Room . This incredible space is now available for private hire and gives you the ultimate experience — your very own pub, complete with a private chef and bar staf

25th September — Kings Gym Croydon Content Shoot
Our third shoot in a row , and what a day it was! This time, we were back at Kings Gym Croydon for our regular monthly photography and videography retainer — something we’ve become incredibly streamlined with over time. At this point, everything just clicks. We know the team, the workflow, and, as they say, we understand the assignment. For this session, we had the pleasure of working with Joe Ballinger (IFBB Pro Bodybuilder) , Aaliyah — known online as @activewithaaliya

24th September — Kings Gyms Tower Bridge Launch Video Shoot
After wrapping up our photography and videography shoot with Ben on the 23rd, we drove straight down to central London for our next project — a commercial video production with Kings Gyms . The brand had recently announced the opening of its brand-new Tower Bridge gym , launching on 6th November , and we were brought on board to produce promotional videos and social media content to build excitement ahead of the grand opening. Working alongside Lee , the new General Manager

17th September: Drone Photography & Football Videography in Redditch | Leon Barnett Academy at Redditch United
On September 17th, our team had the privilege of visiting Redditch United Football Club to meet former Premier League defender Leon Barnett. Leon now leads a football academy in Bedfordshire, designed for 16–19-year-olds who are pursuing a career in sport after leaving school. The programme combines academic study through a BTEC in Sport with professional football coaching delivered by Leon and his team. 30th August: Fitness Photography at Hybrid Games Telford
Picture the scene. A young Polish personal trainer once told me I was the fattest skinny guy she’d ever seen. Fast forward two years and I’ve completed five Hyrox races, finished a marathon, battled with prediabetes, run a sub-20-minute 5k, and even started coaching Hyrox myself. Her words that day pushed me to make changes and see how far I could take things. I might have gone a little too far with the whole “bulking” phase (note to self: eating sugar doesn’t count as a stra

3rd September: Learning to Pause - Lessons from a Beach in Crete
I've never been much of a reader and since university I have found it difficult to prioritize learning. Topics of self development have been few and far between as I focused on performing and to a high level at all times. I since realize that this also requires a commitment to pausing, and learning. Reading My Personal MBA on the Beach. As I lay on a beach in Crete writing this, I realize that I actually enjoy reading, and learning, and more specifically, writing. I seem to

1st September: Travel, Self-employment and diversification
As we set off for Crete, it struck me that I hadn’t once looked at where we were going. Adelina had arranged the flights and the first few days of accommodation, and for the first time, I simply went along with it. While that may sound refreshing, it also highlighted something important: I haven’t truly switched off in quite some time. The realities of self-employment—the uncertainty of income, the persistent imposter syndrome—have made the past two months since returning fro

28th August: Pop-Up Studio Product Photography & Videography – London Content Day
On 28th August, Adelina and I loaded up our trusty estate car (hands down the best thing I’ve ever invested in) and set off to Mitcham, London, for our monthly Kings Gym content day. This time, though, we had more than just our usual kit—we packed professional photography lights, stands, and a brand-new white backdrop we’d picked up from WEX the day before. Why? Because for the first time, we were trialing merchandise and product photography services at no extra cost. We know

20th August - Joules Wine Launch and Red Lion Reopening!
On Wednesday 20th August, we packed up our kit and returned to what now feels like a second home – Joules Brewery in Market Drayton. Arriving at 2pm, our first task was to photograph their latest investment: wine! Joules has recently purchased Château Bessan in Bordeaux and will soon be offering wine across all of their tap houses. We were thrilled to capture one of the very first bottles, with the images swiftly sent to the local press ahead of a 5pm announcement. That annou

Saturday 23rd August – Ultra Trail Running & Drone Action
I joined the new DNF Ultra Trail Running Club for their first 23km run at Cannock Chase—basically my childhood backyard. Early 7am start meant camping at Tackeroo the night before. Our tent box routine is now perfected: I wrestle the roof, Adelina makes the inside cozy, I faff, Adelina sneaks a vape, then Netflix (still not finished The Hunger Games ). Owls weren’t fans—they kept us awake for a bit. James flying his drone as usual! Morning arrived at 6:30am: coffee on the po
